8K a year We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our amazing hospital team at Midland Animal Hospital! Key
Responsibilities:
Ability to safely restrain dogs and cats is a must Assist the veterinarian with exam appointments, medical record notations, TPR patient assessments Monitor anesthesia, recovery patients from surgery Able to perform routine dentistry procedures ie; cleaning, polishing, scaling, charting Perform laboratory testing and communicate results accurately to the veterinarian Perform treatments for critical, hospitalized patients Triage patients in emergency situations Other duties, as assigned Positively represent the hospital and professional community and to the public Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Certification is a plus, however not required with prior veterinary practice experience Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be compassionate and sympathetic and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
Must be a team player willing to continue learning, offer creative ideas and accept continual change.
Express a positive, and team focused attitude Ability to multi-task as no one day is the same Eagerness to learn and grow within the role, our team offers mentorship support This is a full-time position which requires a flexible schedule to support the team during business hours.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds, as well as stand/walk/kneel for long periods of time.
